  • On Thursday 27th October MC México won a silver Painanis award with the “Reto Vitalinea” campaign. The Mexican Association of Direct Marketing organised  this event which aims to promote the Direct Marketing industry by rewarding successful case studies.  On October 26th and 27th the XVI International Congress of Direct and Interactive Marketing took place. The awards ceremony took place at the end of this at the Nikko Hotel. Dale Piceno, Ricardo Camarena, Carolina Ortiz and Donny Aguilar formed the Media Contacts team that worked on this campaign.  They received the silver award for Best Campaign for Direct Response Media with Vitalinea clients.
  • MC Brazil and Mobext Brazil won Gold at the 2008 Global Mobile Marketing Association Awards! The Case “Delivering Geo-Target Information” was the winner at the Latam Cross Media Integration Category. On the beginning of 2009 there will be a Latam ceremony to deliver the prizes and honor the winners. All finalists will receive recognition on the MMA Website, in the 2008 mobile Marketing Guide and in all press communications associated with the program.

  • MC Argentina has won 2 Silver AMAUTA awards for its campaigns "Los Rumbini" for YPF Argentina and "Develación Coca-Cola Zero" for Coca-Cola. The agency also won 2 Bronze awards for the campaigns "Mucho espacio" and "Colección clima"for Renault. Lattitud and Havas Sports Argentina have won a Bronze award for the "Viví la Copa Santander Libertadores"campaign for Santander Bank.
  • MC UK was short-listed for Agency of the Year at the IMA awards on October 30th. We were selected on the strength of our proposition which centres around senior talent and cutting edge technology. The management team of John Mcloughlin, Managing Director, Paul Frampton, Head of Digital and Dan Hagen, Head of Data was strengthened by our senior appointments: Marc Caulfield, Head of Direct and previously Head of Direct at Initiative Media, Tharien Pieterse, Head of Search from Walker Media, Anna, Head of Affiliate Marketing from Tradedoubler and John Thekanady, Head of New Business and Marketing previously strategist at MSN. Media Contacts was also the first mainstream agency to appoint a dedicated Head of Digital Trading - Dave Katz - as well as a Head of Technology, Daniel De Sybel, both formally of Advertising.com. Media Contacts's submission was also aided by its very successful year in winning business. MC UK won Nationwide back in March this year on the strength of its digital proposition and against strong competition including Carat and MEC. It also won BBC, Sporting Index, Photobox, BMI, Rightmove, Age Concern, Hugo Boss, Laureate, Credit Suisse, Alfa Romeo and Robert Dyas amounting to in excess of £10m in new billings.
  • Havas Digital Mexico City won an AMIPCI Recognition Award for the "Ponle tu nombre a un avión" (put your name to an airplane) campaign, in best digital ad campaign category. AMIPCI is the Mexican Association of Internet (AMIPCI) founded in 1999, which integrates all the companies that represent a real influence developing the industry in Mexico. This was the sixth year that AMIPCI organize this contest with a ceremony that took place on 23rd October, at the World Trade Center. "Ponle tu nombre a un avión" campaign was developed by Victor Vazquez, Ingrid Noceda and Raul Gonzalez who worked hard to get this recognition.
  • Lattitud Spain has been awarded a Bronze EFI Award in the Campaign Media Efficiency category with the campaign for "La Ruta Prohibida" for Editorial Planeta. Lattitud convinced Javier Sierra, the book's author and the client, Editorial Planeta, to accept the challenge of using the internet as the only medium to communicate the launch of the book. With a limited budget, Lattitud planned several actions through Second Life, web portals, using www.larutaprohibida.com and through mobile marketing. In the real world the campaign obtained excellent results: more than 140,000 books were sold in less than 4 months...and the book was the 5th on the Spanish sales list in 2007! The EFI's awards ceremony was held on the evening of October 30th at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones in Madrid (over 220 cases were presented, and 68 made the short list). The EFIs are by far the most prestigious and rigorous awards in the industry. The awards, well known by all Spanish advertisers and agencies, recognise one of the most significant achievements in marketing communications: efficiency.   • For the second year running, Media Contacts UK won best financial campaign at the M&M awards with iShares campaign. Media Contacts UK entered the M&M awards and won "Best Campaign in the Financial Services and Consulting Sector" as well being commended for "Best Campaign for Reaching a Business Audience". Media Contacts developed and executed the iShares Trading Game partnering with the FT.com, to educate and engage their very niche investor audience. Players were able to simulate trading Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) to showcase the ease of entry into the market. All targets were exceeded, and enabled iShares to continue their market leadership through digital innovation.
  • Media Contacts won one of the top prizes at the fourth annual AOL Online Planning Awards, in association with Media Week. Media Contacts UK entered the 'Massage Campaign' into the best cross media campaign award and won the award after beating off strong competition. Media Contacts’ work for National Lottery operator Camelot picked up best cross media campaign, and for its success in increasing awareness of playing the lottery online and in boosting online registrations. We successfully integrated different media channels to produce a compelling multi-platform marketing campaign.

  • Interactive Planner in MC Denmark Ozan Emre Bulut has been awarded "The Best Runner Up - Planner Of The Year 2007" award, for his interactive "Meetic 2007 campaign". The yearly Krak/Eniro-award was achieved due to the great insight and integration of different medias to achieve the clients branding and CPA goals in a new market. The event and celebration took place in Soborg – Copenhagen.
  • MC Spain together with MPG Spain won a Bronze Award in the Cannes Lions 2008 Festival for the Atrapalo.com campaign under the Travel, Entertainment & Leisure category. Atrapalo.com is the Spanish travel site with attitude. They needed to increase awareness, become synonymous with amazing travel deals, drive qualified traffic and build excitement. Atrapalo.com concentrates on the experience by tapping into the excitement of planning a holiday. It engages their web visitors with a competition to get the best offer. Atrapalo wanted to continue making low cost travel search an entertainment shared event, seizing this opportunity to demonstrate their very unique brand personality and make it top of mind.
  • Archibald Ingall Stretton UK won the Bornze Award in the Cannes Lion 2008 Festival under the Web site and Microsite Games category. The prize was awarded for a campaign called “Stare Out”. Created for O2, the UK’s leading mobile operator, the brief was to raise awareness of O2’s sponsorship of England Rugby among customers and the wider public. And to tie in with O2’s “Scrum in the Park” rugby-based public event and the Rugby World Cup. Setting something of a technological first, the team used the latest web techniques to tap into the psyche of the dedicated rugby fan, creating a ‘stare out’ competition online.

  • MC Argentina has been awarded with a Gold medal in the "Best Interactive Campaign 07" awards done by the Interactive Advertising Bureau for the Coca-Cola Zero´s campaign, "Lo inesperado". The concept campaign in which all the communication was based was "The same flavor but with no sugar", dismissing in this way the strong believe that sugar equals flavor. The Ceremony took place at the Arnet Point BUE on April the 16°. The team who handled the campaign, was integrated by Valeria Di Risio, Ignacio Quintana, Carolina Aguer and Fernando Verleye.
  • MC Argentina has been awarded with a Bronze medal in the "Best Interactive Campaign 07" awards done by the Interactive Advertising Bureau for the Renault Scénic II´s campaign, "Scénic II". Based on the key benefit of more space, the New Scénic II created the piece "7 asientos", in which the consumer had to adjust the seven seats of the car. The team who handled the campaign, was integrated by Pablo Spagnoli, Carolina Aguer and Fernando Verleye.
  • MC Argentina has been awarded with a Bronze medal in the "Best Interactive Campaign 07" awards done by the Interactive Advertising Bureau for the Renault Megáne II Coupé Cabriolet´s campaign, "Colección". The version cabrio of the Megáne II, reinforce the concept of the brand and work as an aspiration for the consumer. The team who handled the campaign was integrated by Pablo Spagnoli, Luciana Rosso, Santiago Raffo, Carolina Aguer and Fernando Verleye.
  • The Spanish Interactive advertising magazine Interactiva, hands out annually "The Interactiva Awards". This year the magazine has celebrated the VI edition and we have fantastic news for Havas Digital Spain.

  • For MC Spain, this is the 5th consecutive year that receives the highest prize!! (silver in 2003, and gold from 2004 to 2008). The ceremony was celebrated last May 22 in Madrid.

  • BGI's iShares case study came in First Place within the General Business category at this year's JFAM awards. The Journal of Financial Advertising & Marketing (JFAM) hosted its annual award program honoring strategic excellence in media planning for financial services. The JFAM Media Strategy Awards presentation took place on Thursday, February 7th in New York City. Over 120 financial marketing leaders joined there to celebrate excellence in financial media.
